August,2012 in Canada, in the city of Toronto Turkiye (Turkish Festival) was the main topic. The week of 20-26 August was announced as the Anatolian Heritage week. The 6th Annual Toronto Turkish Festival was launched with the official opening ceremony in Nathan Phillip Square (In front of the Toronto City Hall) with the cutting of the cake and the attendance of Toronto Turkish Consulate General Mr. Ali Riza Guney and the Members of Parliament of Canada and the councilors of Toronto. There was Turkic parade on the King street. The parade started with the national anthems of Canada and Turkey. The King street was in red and white colors. The week started with the Media release reception, Turkish culinary courses, Turkish movie night, art work display at the Toronto Police headquarters and at the heart of city of Toronto in Metro Hall there was 52 stands on display.
